 From 1875 onwards Dutch businessman AlbertusPaulusHermanusHotz (Rotterdam 1855-Cologny 1930) not only pursued a commercial career in Persia, he also became an ardent collector of items related to Persian culture and daily life and publicist on Persian-Dutch history.

 The Royal Geographical Society in London and a number of institutions in the Netherlands were recipients of his generous donations. This oblong hardcover book describes the collection of c. 1,200 Middle Eastern photographs, mostly of Persia, donated to Leiden University Library and hundreds of these unique photographs are depicted.

 The price of the book is € 55,-(excl. postage), and will make a great gift.
